I always have a great time at CONvergence, and this year was no different. Panels are almost always enjoyable, mingling with fellow creators is great, and meeting new people is wonderful. However, the costumes are always my favorite part.
So, here are the rest of the costume pictures from the con! (If you see yourself, please let me know so I can credit accordingly.)
Here’s the first Zatana I’ve seen at this convention, and the great Louis from Ghostbusters I’ve seen wandering around before. They were both super nice, and really portrayed their characters well.
No convention is complete without Deadpool! I had to look this up, but he’s dressed up as Misty from Pokemon. These Deadpool cosplayers are so fun, especially when they cosplay Deadpool cosplaying as other characters!
The Rescue Rangers! These two were so cute. I really dig the ears.
Who could let the opportunity to take a picture of A.W.E.S.O.M.-O pass by? After a quick search, I realized why this was so familiar. It’s from an episode of South Park.
This gent is one of the best Castiel cosplayers I’ve seen at this convention. Very nice guy, too.
I finally found a Dr. Horrible to go with the Captain Hammer I encountered yesterday! Fittingly enough, he was hanging out with Harley Quinn. I wonder if Bad Horse was wandering around.
Here’s Harley, ironically enough with a HUGE hammer! You’d think Dr. Horrible would object. Her blue haired friend was a wonderful photo-crasher. I can’t place the character, unfortunately. If anyone can help me out, please leave a comment below.
This Wolvie was great. The arrows make the costume.
I enjoyed this costume. I’m not sure if he’s supposed to be someone specific, but it was still a fun ensemble.
Once again, I’m not sure if she was dressed as anyone in particular, but the outfit is beautiful.
Captain Unohana! You don’t see many people dressing as this character, but this lady pulled her off wonderfully.
Don’t you love it when red-eye works in favor of the picture? If you click on the picture, you’ll be able to see her pointy teeth. Such a fun costume. This lady also lead the gargoyle making panel, and had a booth full of greatness in the Artist’s Alley.
I may not be a Star Wars girl, but I enjoyed this Jedi’s costume. Very nice guy, too.
Hugs all around! The sparkle jacket was such fun, as was the hat.
These two lovely ladies also made gargoyles. The head pieces and gowns are so much fun!
This picture is actually from Thursday, but since it was taken on my friend’s phone, I forgot about it. I’m not sure who this character is, but he had a wonderfully creepy way of moving. That, combined with the plague doctor mask and the robes made him very unnerving. My husband thought he was from Spy vs Spy, but I don’t think so.
He didn’t speak at all, so we did a sort of cringe-curious staring-bow routine every time we saw each other. He was great.
Last, but certainly not least, is my fellow Galactic Hitchhiker. Here she is examining the strange Earth artifact found on the ground by the curb.
As for the Art Show, my little turtles did better than I thought they would. Mike and Raph found new homes, while Leo and Don came home with me. Those two will go up for sale on my Storenvy next weekend for $10 each.
I’ll leave you with some pictures of the Ghostbusters car parked behind the hotel and the little gargoyles my buddy and I constructed.
|I’m terrible with sculpting. My friend’s is the one on the left, and mine’s the one on the right.|
